Mission Statement
The Beaverton Police Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising private funds to support the Beaverton Police Department in areas beyond what municipal budgets allow. Through responsible stewardship and strong community partnerships, we provide critical resources that enhance officer wellness, recognition, training, recruitment, public safety education, and essential equipment.
Our supporters are the heart of our mission—empowering us to help build a well-equipped, well-trained, and deeply supported police force. Together, we are committed to fostering trust, safety, and a thriving community for everyone who lives, works, and visits Beaverton.
Our Vision
To strengthen public safety by responsibly stewarding financial resources that empower and support the Beaverton Police Department, its dedicated members, and the community they proudly serve.
Our Impact
The Beaverton Police Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to support the Beaverton Police Department in ways that extend beyond what municipal funding can provide. The Foundation’s purpose is to:
- Recognize and support department personnel through awards, professional development, and morale-building initiatives• Enhance officer recruitment, retention, and readiness through targeted outreach and training programs.
- Provide essential lifesaving and mission-critical equipment not covered by city budget
- Promote crime prevention and public safety awareness through community education initiatives• Facilitate special projects that strengthen the department’s mission and foster stronger community partnerships.
- Provide assistance to departmental members and their families in times of hardship.
The Beaverton Police Foundation is 100% volunteer-run.
- No paid staff
- No fixed overhead
- Administrative expenses such as postage, printing, and website management make up less than 5% of total revenue.
